Before searching for a home it's a good idea to understand your needs. Are you looking to move up and need more bedrooms? Do you want a larger backyard? Are you retiring and looking to downsize?
We will start with a simple interview process so I can learn more about your needs to better help you with your home buying journey.
Hiring the right agent is important. They will be representing you and should also be advocating for your best interests. Using a local agent is a good idea because they know the area well.
Before you spend too much time searching for a home, you should be working with a lender to get pre-approved.
Don't mistake pre-approval for pre-qualification. Pre-qualification doesn't account for much when competingwith other home buyers for the same home. Pre-approval involves completing a loan application, retrieving a credit report and verifying your employment, income, assets, etc. You will then know how much you can afford and can search for homes within that price range.
This is the fun part! While you are searching online for the perfect match I will be doing my part to use the tools and resources available to me to find homes for you. Once we have compiled a list, we can schedule a tour of each one so you can see them in person.
Once you have found the home you like, let's work together to formulate the best offer. I will work hard to negotiate the best deal for you.
Once your offer is accepted you will most likely want to have property inspections performed. Along with inspection costs there are also mortgage closing costs and other fees, but once these have all been paid, you will be able to take ownership of your new home.
